Geography / Infrastructure

Montenegro is a republic on the southeastern Adriatic coast in southeastern Europe. Montenegrin territory borders Croatia to the far west, Bosnia and Herzegovina to the northwest, Serbia to the northeast, Kosovo to the east, and Albania to the southeast.

The infrastructure is being expanded in leaps and bounds. A highway is being built from Belgrade in Serbia to Podgorica in Montenegro. The first of three sections has been completed and is already open to traffic from Podgorica (International Airport) to Kolasin. Berane airport is being developed by a German investor and is 42km away from Kolasin. Tivat Airport is accessible all year round via Belgrade and there are many direct connections during the summer months. Also, the Adriatic-Ionian Highway A1, which runs from north to south through Croatia has already been completed to Ploce in Croatia and will be extended to Dubrovnik.

The German magazine ELLE published an article on August 25, 2023 and called Montenegro an insider tip. In a road trip along the coast they recommend the best hotels, bars and beaches such as Onyx Bar & Garden and Buddha Bar at Port Montenegro in Tivat. We can only agree with this.
